01Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, BCzap Connect may collect and store:
- Account information such as your name, email address, and sign-in credentials.
- Profile data such as your public visibility setting and share ID.
- Content you create — links, notes, locations, contact entries, and grouped items.
- Business-card or image-derived information when you choose to scan or upload content.
- Authentication and security data for password recovery or multi-factor authentication when enabled.
- Locally cached data on your device to improve responsiveness and offline behavior.
02How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To sync your saved content across sessions and devices.
- To let you manage privacy and sharing settings for your profile and content.
- To support account recovery, sign-in security, and optional multi-factor authentication.
- To process features you actively use, such as link handling or business-card scanning.
- To provide user support and troubleshoot service issues.
03Permissions and device access
BCzap Connect may request access to:
- Camera — to capture business cards or images you choose to scan.
- Photo library — to upload existing images you select.
- Location (while using the app) — to create or manage location-based entries.
- Internet — to authenticate, sync content, and load connected services.
You can manage most permissions in your device settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.
04Third-party services and processors
BCzap Connect relies on trusted providers to operate core features:
- Supabase — authentication, backend data storage, and related service functions.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — when you choose to authenticate with those accounts.
- RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — to process BCzap Pro subscriptions.
When you use those features, relevant data may be processed by those providers under their own terms and privacy practices.
05Data sharing
BCzap Connect lets you control whether profile or content items are public or private. We do not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed only:
- When you intentionally make content or profile information public through app settings.
- When necessary to operate services provided by our processors and infrastructure providers.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users or the service.
06Local storage and retention
The app stores some information locally on your device, including cached content and settings, to improve performance. Remote account data is retained while your account remains active, unless a shorter or longer period is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
07Account deletion
You can request account deletion from within the app where available. Deletion is intended to remove remote account data associated with the service and clear local cached data during the deletion flow.
If you need help deleting your account, contact support using the details on the Support page.
08Children's privacy
BCzap Connect is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
09Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect user data, including authenticated access controls and encrypted network transport where supported by our providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page.
